After ‘The Haunting of Hill House’ and ‘The Curse of Bly Manor’, Netflix users are hungry for more haunted house stories, but they will have to wait.
Both ‘The Hunting of Hill House’ and ‘The Hunting of Bly Manor’ are horror anthologies with their beginning and ending that we can classify as independent miniseries. However, behind both Mike Flanagan projects there are several connections as well as a common style and proposal that, although conclusive, incites viewers to wish for a continuation, another anthology of haunted houses and destroyed families with which to get excited and fear it. time on your Netflix account.
However, the director of ‘Doctor Sleep’ has other immediate plans and assures that “there are no more chapters planned” to end up leaving, yes, room for hope:

In fact, a few days ago Flanagan announced the end of filming for ‘Midnight Mass’, his latest collaboration with Netflix. It is a 7-part miniseries about an isolated community on an island that begins to experience miracles and terrifying omens after the arrival of a priest (no, it is not ’30 coins’). In it, they repeat several of the cast of ‘The Curse of’ such as Henry Tomas, Rahul Kohli, or his wife, Kate Siegel. The series does not have a release date yet, but it certainly doesn’t seem like a bad consolation for fans of ‘The Curse of Hill House’ and ‘The Curse of Bly Manor’. Like both, we would not be surprised if Netflix saved them for premiere next Halloween.
