Homestar wars Anakin Skywalker almost appeared in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) Star Wars.

Director Rian Johnson almost added Anakin Skywalker’s ghost of the force to Star Wars: The Last Jedi instead of Yoda.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the intermediate film of the new trilogy, so it continued the adventures of the new characters in the saga such as Re and (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). But it also revealed what Luke Skywalker ( Mark Hamill ) had been up to after disappearing.

The movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi explained that Luke Skywalker turned away from the outside world after failing his nephew Ben Solo and his nephew turned to the dark side by becoming Kylo Ren. Now, when a fan asked the director on Twitter if there was ever a point in his creative process where he thought of introducing the Force ghost Anakin Skywalker, Rian Johnson surprisingly said yes.

Since he considered that Luke’s father appeared during the scene in Star Wars: The Last Jedi where the tree is burned in Ahch-To. However, he eventually realized that Jedi Master Yoda better fit what the sequence wanted to achieve in terms of storytelling. This is your answer

“Briefly for the tree burning scene, but Luke’s relationship with Vader wasn’t really Anakin, which seemed to complicate things more than that moment allowed. Yoda felt like the most shocking teacher at the time.”

In the end, Anakin Skywalker did not appear in any of the movies.

Although we did not see Anakin in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, from the first installment Kylo Ren has always been obsessed with his grandfather Darth Vader. It was long rumored that Hayden Christensen would appear at some point in the trilogy to give him advice as a force ghost. But in the end, we can simply hear his voice at the end of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019).

How do you think the scene from Star Wars: The Last Jedi would have been better, with Yoda or Anakin?
