Will Apple TV+ renew See for a new season? Is it under production?
After the debut season ended on December 6, 2019, fans are hoping for a season 2. And now you can rejoice, because Apple has officially ordered a new season for the fans.
The previous season had 8 episodes, so we can expect 8 or 10 episodes in the new season. According to the sources, shooting for season 2 was scheduled to start on February 3, 2020, and end by July 10, 2020.
Everything was going according to the plan until the COVID-19 pandemic happened. Unfortunately, in March 2020, the streaming giant had to close down the production of the show.
Currently, no new dates have been finalized for shooting. Sadly, we have no updates about the release date because creators and Apple TV + haven’t officially announced anything. The production process is also paused, so we will have to wait a little bit more for the second season.
See Storyline: How it concluded? And what will happen in season 2?
The concept of the show is very unique. It is based in a distant future where humans are blind and have to learn to interact, hunt, build, and survive. The show revolves around Baba Voss, who is the chieftain of the Alkenny tribe. He marries Maghra who is already pregnant. She gives birth to two twins named Kofun and Haniwa. To Baba Voss and Maghra’s surprise, the twins can see.
Their biological father is Jerlamarel, who once was Kane, the evil Queen’s partner. The queen knew he had the ability to see, so she wanted to have kids with him. But he ran away with Maghra. Soon the Queen comes to know that he has twins, and decides to have them to herself.
Baba Voss, the adoptive father of twins decides to protect the kids before she captures them. He then decides to lead the Alkenny tribe and take down the Queen’s regiment and her cult.
The first season ended with not only one but numerous cliffhangers. The Alkenny tribe was mourning for Maghra’s death, but it is soon revealed that she’s still alive. Fans were shocked when they realized she is the sister of Queen Kane.
Later on, Baba Voss punishes Jerlamarel for betrayal by blinding him. All these questions have puzzled the fans, and we believe it will be solved in the second season.
