It has been announced that we will be getting a new series called “Naomi” from CW soon! The show will be created by Ava DuVernay who has also worked in many other superhero films and she will be collaborating with Jill Blankenship, the executive producer and writer of CW’s hit show, “Arrow”.

What we know about the plot of the show?
The show is supposed to follow the life of a normal teenager from a small place in a northeastern town who goes on to uncover some very dark secrets about her town which would make her life upside down. We can expect the lead to have a relatable character which would serve as inspiration to many young people, especially teenage girls of colour.
What is the show based on?
This new show is an adaptation of the 2019 comic book series of the same name by Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker, and illustrated by breakout artist Jamal Campbell. The show will be produced by DuVernay’s Array Filmworks in association with Warner Bros Television. Sarah Bremner and Paul Garnes will produce for Array Filmworks.
