Marvel Studios has revealed some of the plans they have for Black Panther 2, one of the great films of Phase 4.
Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, announced very interesting details about the movie Black Panther 2, such as that we will not see the death of T’Challa and that the story will focus on the secondary characters.
“I wanted to acknowledge the devastating loss of a dear friend and member of the Marvel Studios family.” Kevin Feige said. “Chadwick Boseman was an immensely talented actor and inspiring person who touched all of our lives professionally and personally. His portrayal of T’Challa in Black Panther is iconic and transcends the iteration of the character in any other medium from Marvel’s past. It is for that reason that we will not restructure the character in Black Panther 2. “
So they have made it clear that no other actor will play T’Challa, but what is not yet clear is whether another character will be the new Black Panther since for now, everything points to his sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) replacing him.
The sequel will further explore T’Challa’s homeland and some of the supporting characters featured in the first film.
However, to honor the legacy that Chadwick Boseman helped us build through his portrayal of the King of Wakanda, we want to continue exploring the world of Wakanda and all the rich and varied characters featured in the first film. Writer/director Ryan Coogler is hard at work on Black Panther 2, as we will hit theaters on July 8, 2022. ”
Unfortunately, they did not reveal the villains they want to add to Black Panther 2, so we cannot confirm yet whether Namor or Doctor Doom will appear as rumored in recent months. But surely that would be a real bombshell for Marvel fans who would enjoy it a lot.
