After much speculation, the bombshell reaches Marvel Studios as they have confirmed that actor Charlie Cox will return to play Matt Murdock / Daredevil in Spider-Man 3.
For a few months, it was rumored that Charlie Cox was going to repeat as Daredevil in Spider-Man 3, but now they have confirmed it and it seems that after recovering the film rights of the character, they have already reached an agreement with Netflix so that release the actor. This will make this movie the most shocking installment of all of Marvel Studios Phase 4.
For now, all the information that is coming from Spider-Man 3 is real madness, since apart from the usual of the saga such as Tom Holland (Peter Parker), Zendaya (MJ), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds) and Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson) will join many characters from Marvel Studios. We can see Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus, Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker from the first trilogy, Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker from the second saga, Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson, and now we have to add Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil. But as if this were not enough, Emma Stone could repeat as Gwen Stacy.
Matt Murdock will serve as Peter Parker’s attorney.
The movie Spider-Man 3 will start after the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), therefore Peter Parker ( Tom Holland ) is in serious trouble since Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) revealed his identity to the world and also accused him of his murder. This means that you will need a lawyer and although it was rumored that it could be Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk, it seems that Marvel Studios has gone for Matt Murdock / Daredevil from Charlie Cox. Which is great news because it’s what all the fans asked for.
Spider-Man 3 will be released on December 17, 2021. Hopefully, they will soon show us the first images of everything they are shooting.
