Big celebrities have a different way of looking at the past. They often look at it in an optimistic way and see even a few boring moments in a good way. This is just what the famous actor Ethan Hawke is right now doing by remembering why he did not get the role in Stand By Me in 1986.
THE REVEAL
The 50 year old actor revealed the thing in an interview with The Guardian. He said during that time he was quite young and new to the industry and was just a child artist.
He had done a hit movie previously named Explorers and really wanted to act in the movie. He had given the audition for the role along with River Phoenix, the person who eventually got the role.
He was hoping that things would go his way as he was called by the director of the movie Rob Reiner. When he got to him, Rob complimented Ethan on his talent by saying that you are good.
You are talented but today I have given the role to the boy with the bird name. Young Ethan was disheartened to lose the role but now when looks back at it, he finds it pretty hilarious.
Today Ethan Hawke is a very big actor but hasn’t done many films. What sets him apart is a thing that he looks at every low point in his life as a learning opportunity and tries to give it a humorous viewpoint just like the one above.
