The company behind the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Floki Inu ($FLOKI) has announced that the test net for Valhalla, its highly anticipated play-to-earn (P2E) metaverse game, will be available soon.
Floki Inu ($FLOKI) Enters Metaverse
According to the team’s Medium article, Floki Inu initially announced its foray into the metaverse in the summer of 2021 and is now planning to deploy the game’s first playable alpha test net this month.
Jackie Xu, the main Floki developer, was mentioned in the post as saying:
“The Valhalla team has done an outstanding job laying the basis for traditional games to enter the blockchain realm.” Valhalla will not be another disjointed earn-to-play title.”
The game will include upgradeable non-fungible tokens (NFTs), such as the Flokitars, which have already been released.
It will also have a prototype fighting system with two playable Vera creatures, one a bear and the other a hat.
The monsters, according to the article, will be able to roam around the battlefield, making the game more “intense, competitive, and tactical,” and will have up to five powers that can be unlocked through a leveling system.
They’ll also have personalities that “influence concealed growth metrics.” The company hopes that following the launch, there will be a “clan subscription system,” leaderboards, new skills, new animals, and other features.
Floki Inu and other gamers will be able to play the game on their desktop computers. Optimism, a layer-two scaling approach, will be used for the game.
“Details and features outlined are subject to change, since game development is, of course, a continuous process,” the team said.
Floki Inu, as previously reported by CryptoGlobe, started a campaign last year on London’s public transportation system with the phrase “Did you miss Doge?
Get Floki” in an effort to “legitimize” cryptocurrencies and increase “average customers’ confidence.
” So according to Sabre, the project’s marketing director, considering acquiring it. The advertising budget for Floki Inu is funded by a 4% fee on new consumers. Tokens will be used to “onboard influencers” and “further build and expand the Floki ecosystem.”
