THE DEAL
The deal was signed for the Israeli TV series “Valley of Tears”. The series is the biggest budget TV series of Israel so far. The series will also be the first ever TV series produced by the London based WestEnd Films.
Both the parties were very happy about the deal with WestEnd’s s managing director Maya Amsellem saying that the series belonged to HBO Max and was delighted that the deal happened.
ABOUT THE SERIES
“Valley of Tears” is an Israeli war series that is being directed Yaron Zilberman and casts Aviv Alush, Joy Rieger, Lior Ashkenazi and Ohad Knoller among others. The series will be produced by Gil Zeyed.
The plot of the series is set around the Yom Kippur War that broke out in Israel during the 1970s. The story is told from the perspective of three people who are in between the war. For its first season, 8 episodes have been planned.
The production of this series took place over a decade and filming was completed in 52 days. The series will release on 19th October 2020 on the HBO Max streaming platform.
