The Dark Materials’ by Philips Pullman arrived at BBC /HBO last year as a totally uneven debut season, highly ambitious, and an epic fantasy area. It had a habit of often putting the cart before the horse.

Therefore, it didn’t receive a large number of positive responses from the fans and critics.

But, we all know failures are the stepping stones to success. Similar it has been for The Dark Materials’.

The makers have accepted the challenge of the critics whole-heartedly. The second season has thus been dropped in with dozes of more thrill and a feast of fantabulous visuals.

The growing pains of the first season have ultimately been overcome. A larger and more divine plot sneaked in.

Season two emerges on a universe readying for war, in the sky, clashes between witches and all will be a treat to the eyes.

The cast is damn wonderful! Except for James McAvoy being physically present, we have Ruth Wilson playing Mrs. Coulter, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Andrew Scott, Dafne Keen, Amir Wilson, Simone Kirby, and Ariyon Bakare.

Jack Thorne’s story has kept a lofty plot, with minute character moments and the essence of fresh cooked humor. What more is needed? Every character has put in their best, the charm that was required to make it a hit!

The second season definitely seems to be a must-watch!
