Lucasfilm adds new titles to its calendar during Disney Investor Day. It also gives new details of projects already announced.

Disney celebrated its Investor Day this morning. In it, they announced new projects from all their studies. It was already known that Disney had big plans for Lucasfilm and that there would be a first look at this. During the event, 10 new projects were confirmed, including the Andor series and the return of one of the most popular characters in the franchise. These are Lucasfilm’s announcements during Disney Investor Day.

Rangers of the New Republic

A new series is exclusive to Disney + that will explore the New Republic rangers in their effort to keep the peace. The series will take place in the same timeline as The Mandalorian. And it is that Lucasfilm is aware of the Mandalorian’s success and wants to continue exploring this era between the original trilogy and the sequels.

Another title that will take place in the timeline of The Mandalorian. Ahsoka Tano is a popular character from Clone Wars and Rebels. The character made the leap into live-action during this season of The Mandalorian and made a huge impression on fans. Now the studio announces that Rosario Dawson will have her own series on Disney +. The studio bets on Dawson despite their legal conflicts and will explore the life of an adult Ahsoka.

The Mandalorian – Season 3

To its spin-offs, the return of The Mandalorian is announced. The second season is nearing its final stretch. But we will have Din Djarin and Baby Yoda for a while. Lucasfilm announces that the third season of The Mandalorian will premiere in Christmas 2021. Jon Favreau already announced that the series would start filming before the end of the year. The second season ends on December 18. The first seven episodes are now available on Disney +. The study also provides a summary of the season.

Andor:

“Everything I did, I did for the Rebellion.” This is how Lucasfilm introduces the Cassian Andor spin-off series. The series starring Diego Luna will serve as a prequel to the events of Rogue One. This will explore how the Resistance prepares its attacks against the Empire and will be a spy thriller. The study presents the first look at Andor. The cast is joined by Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and Genevieve O’Reilly. Luna is already in London ready for production. The series premieres in 2022.
