The pandemic situation around the world has delayed a lot of things. But there is good news for fans of Metallica in the situation. Metallica is all set to make their long-awaited return to the stage as a part of the Encore Drive-In Nights Series, which will be their first screening in the year 2020. This will be done at hundreds of Drive-ins and outdoor theaters across the U.S. and Canada on 29th August 2020.
It is very exciting to say that that thrash metal titans will become the first non-country act to participate in the series. It was decided after the successful drive-in showcases from Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton.
They gained more than 350000 fans in more than 300 venues across North America. It is heard that Metallica will record the concert at a location near their Northern California resident which is not revealed yet.
After the partnership between Metallica and San Francisco Symphony last year, this will be the first performance by the band.
The tickets for the Encore Drive-In Nights cost to $115 per carload including 6 people and the sale of tickets start from 14th August 2020 noon.
The ticket includes four digital downloads of Metallica’s upcoming S&M2 live album which was recorded last year in September.
The first release of Metallica was the album Kill ‘Em All which was released 40 years ago. But it does not mean that Metallica does not have the capacity of commanding stadium-sized crowds and also they can sell millions of albums still.
The COVID-19 guidelines will be followed by the theaters hosting the concert series where the staff members will be wearing a face covering and the distance between the cars will be 6 feet to ensure social distancing.
So we recommend you to enjoy the concert by keeping safety measures in mind and stay safe.
