After several months of delays, the Marvel / Disney + series Moon Knight and She-Hulk could start production early next year.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Marvel and Disney + series Moon Knight and She-Hulk will begin filming in March. As the Marvel Cinematic Universe enters Phase 4, it will extend beyond the movies with several series scheduled to premiere on the streaming platform, Disney +. The first to arrive will be Scarlet Witch and Vision that will be released on January 15, 2020, and which is expected to serve as an introduction for the second installment of Doctor Strange, so that a few months later, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki. Productions that, like the rest of the film industry, have been affected by the global Coronavirus pandemic and forced to readjust their launch dates on the platform or production starts.
Moon Knight and She-Hulk were announced by Kevin Feige at the D23 Expo in 2019, along with Ms. Marvel, a series that is already filming and from which we have seen some leaks. The details about the series have been kept secret like any Marvel Studios own production, although in recent months we have had news and rumors about its possible protagonists, with Oscar Isaac starring in Moon Knight, and Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters in She-Hulk; although Marvel has yet to make both signings official despite Maslany denying his participation in it.
According to THR, both Disney + series are scheduled to begin production in March. She-Hulk was initially set to begin filming last summer, while Moon Knight was scheduled for November, but the pandemic changed the entire Marvel Studios schedule.
With She-Hulk and Moon Knight beginning their productions, it is more than likely that they will not be released until 2022. Although they could be completed by the end of 2021, Marvel will not want to saturate Disney + with new series in 2021, that year it already has Scarlet Witch and Vision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and presumably Loki. Given that Ms. Marvel has already started production as well, it stands to reason that it will premiere before Moon Knight and She-Hulk. As a result, fans may have to prepare for a long wait before seeing Oscar Isaac and Tatiana Maslany join the MCU.
