There was one more film done by the late star that has not been released yet and is also his last movie, called ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’, that fans are eagerly waiting to release so that they can say the final goodbye to their favourite superhero in the best possible way they can.
What’s up with Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom?
While Netflix has recently Promised to release Chadwick Boseman’s movie, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom in late 2020, there are a few things you need to know about this special release.
Boseman’s last and final movie, produced by Denzel Washington and Directed by George C. Wolfe ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’, is a modified version of an August Wilson play of the indistinguishable name. It was initially decided that the movie will release late in this year and there is no news from Netflix’s side if the actor’s death will impact the release date of the movie or not.
Netflix mourns Boseman’s death
A preview date was fixed for the movie in around late august but since the actor passed away on 28th of August, the makers decided to put the preview on a hold for some time. A statement was also released by the makers to address this matter which goes like this;
“We are completely heartbroken after hearing the news of Chadwick Boseman’s passing away. He was a true fighter, as his family called him in their sorrowful tribute. This is an incredible loss. Please join us in sending your thoughts and prayers to his family and the loved ones.”
Another heartfelt statement came out from the Co-Chief Executive and Chief Content Officer of Netflix, Ted Sarandos saying how Chadwick seamlessly transformed into a heroin plain view screen and throughout everyday life. It’s unrealistic to accept working at such a degree like he has while also fearlessly battling his illness.
What will be the fate of Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’s Release?
The creator of the film Denzel Washington, announced that Mama Rainey’s Black Bottom is scheduled for dispatch in the not so distant future while mourning the death of the actor and also praising him for his incredible contribution in the movies.
Denzel further said that Boseman transformed into a mellow soul and a phenomenal craftsman who will live with us forever by through his work, however renowned lifetime.
Since so many people related with the late actor’s movie are saying that the movie will be released in 2020 itself, we have to wait for a while to get an official announcement about the date of the release.
