Foundation is an upcoming original TV show from Apple which is based on an award-winning novel from Issac Asimov. The series introduces a science fiction drama that will be released in 2021. The trailer for the series was out recently and you can watch it out here-

As seen in the WWDC 2020 trailer, Foundation will come out as an episodic series that will revolve around the story of Asimov’s Foundation Trilogy.

There is no official information about the series but we can see in the trailer that the graphics are just amazing and the production quality is high. The story is about the Galactic Empire which was widely spreading and how psychohistory (a branch of mathematics that predicts the future) shapes several generations’ efforts to reform the human civilization.

The series stars actor Jared Harris who is playing Hari Seldon, Lee Pace as Brother Day, Lou Llobell as Gaal, Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk, Laura Birn as Demerzel, Leah Harvey as Salvor, and Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn.

There are some problems with adapting the book to a series. The most obvious problem is the sheer scale of the thing. The first book of the novel covers 200 years which can be spanned to 600 years if we go for the written content.

The original trilogy is of five short stories and four novellas. And if we expect to see it all as a TV show then it is very much difficult. It is one of the most incredible series by Asimov which includes spaceships, robots, galaxy-wide conflicts, and many more things.

Conclusion

The exact date of the premiere for the series is not disclosed yet and viewers who love science fiction movies are waiting eagerly for such an amazing series based on an incredible novel.

So stay tuned with us for more updates about the Foundation and keep reading.
