One Piece creator has a cryptic message for fans.
The One Piece series is about to reach 1000 numbers and a message from Eiichiro Oda has left all the fans puzzled.
To commemorate the upcoming release of One Piece Chapter 1000, Eiichiro Oda sent a short message during Jump Festa 2020. To begin with, he talked about how tough this year had been, but then praised the success of Demon Slayer (Kimetsu No Yaiba) and confirms that the 100th volume of One Piece will be released in 2021. However, there is another little hint of future plans. Since the “red-haired” man will finally make his move.
Clearly, Eiichiro Oda refers to one of the most charismatic characters in One Piece as Shanks the redhead. Luffy’s great hero served in Gol D. Roger’s crew as a child, but as an adult, he became a Yonko, one of the four strongest and most feared pirates in the New World. However, he is a character shrouded in mystery.
So… what will your next move be?
We’ve seen Shanks a handful of times since One Piece jumped back in time, his motives have always been anyone’s guess. But in chapter 838, Shanks with his crew is seen reading a newspaper about Luffy’s recent victory over Doflamingo and his increased bounty.
We don’t see Shanks again until One Piece chapter 903 when Luffy’s bounty increases to 1.5 billion. The Yonko is sitting on a rocky shoreline reading the headline like a proud father. He further states that he and Luffy will meet again very soon.
Shanks’s most recent appearance is in chapter 907. This moment may contain the most clues as to what Shanks is doing. During the cutscene, the Five Elders, the highest-ranking Heavenly Dragons who control the World Government, will meet with Shanks. He tells the Five Elders that there is a “pirate” he needs to talk to them about.
It is unclear who this One Piece pirate maybe, but there are a few possible candidates. Shanks may be referring to Kaido or Blackbeard, as they are two of the biggest obstacles to stability in the New World. Big Mom is another possibility. Shanks may even be referring to Luffy and his potential to become the King of the Pirates.
So probably One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda is right and it’s time for the red-haired Shanks to make his movie
