X Files is a very good science fiction drama. The SPI agents in the show, the extraordinary cases, and the abundance of paranormal activities all of these things make the show special among the fans.
The main protagonist of the show is also very much loved by the fans but as the 11th season of the show came to an end the protagonist and the creator of the show have come under criticism for the way the last episode ended.
THE PROBLEM
In the last episode of X-Files season 11, it is revealed that Mulder and Scully’s son has a very problematic origin. He is the result of a cigarette smoking man assaulting and impregnating Scully as a result.
The fans were outraged by this twist. They think that this twist is very disturbing and was not at all required in the show.
The creator of the show had so far been defending the storyline saying that the twist was just fine but in a recent interview with Sammensværgelsen podcast, he altered his stance on the same and said that he indeed had made a mistake in the finale of the show and would like to rectify the same.
He did say that doing this will be challenging and right now he really didn’t know how will he do but it is something he must do anyhow.
Even though the creator have said that this season was the final season of the show but given the present situation of the show it is highly likely that 12th season will be made to clear things out.
