Ramy Season 3: Is Release Date Confirmed For Next Season?

Welcome back, folks! Once again we are back to divulge on one of the very well-received comedy-drama series Ramy. The series won the critical acclaim for its creator Ramy Youssef who is also the lead.

The series revolves around an Egyptian American guy, who embarks on a spiritual journey and is entangled in uncanny situations between two communities. Continue reading to know more.

Ramy Season 3: RELEASE DATE

Hulu, which is the common streaming platform based in the US, gave the green light to the comedy infused series for a third installment

Owing to the coronavirus outbreak, the talks were on a standstill for a sequel and the production house was indecisive as to whether shoots could commence anytime soon or not.

However, it has been confirmed that the sequel will have the same number of episodes as the prequels, which mean 10 episodes in the third season would be released if it commences soon. And we might even be able to expect the release to be somewhere around fall next year in 2021.

Ramy Season 3: CAST

Much to our deductions and expectations, we believe Youssef will be returning to the screen as a fictional version of himself called Ramy Hassan. We might also be able to see other previous cast members return alongside Ramy, including Amr Waked as Ramy’s father Farouk Hassan and Succession’s Hiam Abbass as mother Maysa Hassan.

More similar faces including Madam Secretary star May Calamawy as Ramy’s sister Dena Hassan, Laith Nakli as Uncle Naseem, Stephen Way as Stevie, Dave Merheje as Ahmed, and Mohammed Amer as Mo are expected to be returning to the series as well.

Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan, who was expected to be a part of the previous season, but did not make it, could also be an addition.

Ramy Season 3: PLOT

The previous cycle took us along the journey in each episode that the Egyptian-American Muslim lead, Ramy embarks upon discovering and introspecting different communities with different religious beliefs that exist and how each journey is a step closer to him discovering himself.

Since the show is reality-based, and the previous installments showcased the makers tackling daily problems of life like launching a start-up, dating, etc, we can guess that this season might be about the world crisis, COVID-19, and other issues that have surfaced this year. Uncle Naseem’s orientation seems to be a bit of a dilemma to himself.

Sadly, for the viewers, there is not much of a trailer that is available for us but we hope that it is going to be released soon and we are promised an exciting journey this time around too.

We love the journeys Ramy embarks in every episode and his road to finding himself and being unapologetic about it. Do you wish for the series to be renewed as much as we do? Comment to let us know.

Keep following us for more exciting updates and previews.
