Actress Elizabeth Olsen has spoken about what it means for her character to appear immediately after Scarlet Witch and Vision in the sequel to Doctor Strange.
Actress Elizabeth Olsen claims that returning immediately after Scarlet Witch and Vision in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness makes her character better.
Scarlet Witch and Vision premiere on January 15 on Disney + and it seems that the series has looked for inspiration in the sitcoms of the last decades, and will have moments of mockumentary like Modern Family or The Office. In it, we will see the two Marvel Avengers trying to lead a normal life in a residential neighborhood as a newly married couple.
While things look happy and perfect from the surface, something more sinister is actually going on to make this possible as Vision was killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. Regardless of what happens in the Marvel Studios series, Olsen anticipates that it will serve to improve his character of Scarlet Witch when he joins the supreme sorcerer doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Speaking to Empire, the actress has expressed her excitement about continuing Wanda’s journey through the Sam Raimi movie and is more than happy to go straight to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as she feels like her time working on The Disney + series will help your character to be better.
“I spent the last year with Wanda. And it’s actually amazing to go back because I feel like I can contribute so much more now. ”
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, production on all Marvel Studios projects was suspended for a few months, including Scarlet Witch and Vision as a precaution. But unlike other series and movies, it was not so affected, delaying its premiere just a couple of months from the scheduled date. Until last October, the series was still busy filming and showing images that showed the cast at different times.
From there, the actress is ready to begin filming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. in the UK sometime during the holidays. The film will be directed by Sam Raimi who replaces Scott Derrickson after the filmmaker left the project due to creative differences with the studio and will also mark the return of Benedict Cumberbatch as the supreme sorcerer.
