Star Wars will bet heavily on villains.

The Star Wars saga has some impressive villains, either from the movies or from the books and comics considered legends.

Since the last Star Wars trilogy ended up being quite divisive for fans, Disney has taken things more seriously and introduced the Marvel Studios working method to LucasFilm. Something that we can perfectly verify with the Mandalorian series and the spin-offs that will come out of it, such as the Boba Fett or Ahsoka Tano programs from Disney +.

In fact, they are going to canonize many characters from old Star Wars comics and books that until now are considered legends and now they will return to the main story. Although they are probably different to be able to make everything fit. But also, they want to bet heavily on the Dark Side and for that, they need to show really interesting characters that the fans will surely like a lot.

The first will be Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Disney + will have a lot of spectacular series and one of the most anticipated is Kenobi in which the appearance of Darth Vader is already confirmed. But also in the Star Wars: The Acolyte program we can see a young Sheev Palpatine, who will train with Darth Plagueis, one of the most interesting and powerful Sith of all.

But as if this were not enough, Thrawn will gain much more prominence. This villain was part of the empire and will be an important enemy in series that share the timeline such as The Mandalorian, Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, and Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic. So Thrawn will imitate the role that Thanos had in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For now, they have only mentioned in the chapter that Ahsoka Tano collaborated with The Mandalorian, but little by little he will become a more impressive presence.

So after so much heroin Star Wars, the time of the villains begins and surely the fans will appreciate it.
