The Star War’s series of movies is so big that it at times becomes difficult to understand what is going on. Added to this dilemma is the fact that there are so many mysteries regarding almost anything in Star Wars, be it the plot or the characters.

Those of you who don’t know, the Chosen One is the person who is destined to bring balance in the force. So far it was assumed that Anakin is the chosen one and this believe prevailed in all the movies made so far.
All the Jedi in the movies have always thought that Anakin is the Chosen One. Though this fact was never confirmed, fans had also started to believe in the Anakin being the Chosen One thing.
Now recently a new theory has emerged that says that Emperor Sheev Palpatine could be this chosen one! This theory is being backed by CuckMeWithFacts and could very well be true.
After all, we know that Palpatine has been slaughtering Jedies for quite a time now and this could be his way of bringing balance to the force though he may have been doing so unknowingly in the form of performing the Order 66.
Finally, all this is mere speculation, and the final verdict as to who is the Chosen One is in the hands of the movie makers.
