‘The Bridgertons’ has become Netflix’s latest hit, and its protagonists have seen its popularity increase almost overnight for others.

The number of followers in their social networks has risen like foam and many of them are already receiving offers for other projects. One of those who have caused the most sensation is Regé-Jean Page, who plays Simon Basset.

Regé-Jean Page (born 1990) is a British-Zimbabwean actor. He is best known for playing the role of Chicken George in the 2016 Miniseries Roots and from 2018 to 2019 he was a regular member of the cast of the ABC legal drama For the People. As of 2020, Page stars as Simon Bassett, Duke of Hastings in the Netflix period drama Bridgerton.

Not content with seeing him in the fiction created by Shonda Rhimes, the actor’s fans have already ‘attributed’ a new project to him: they see him as the perfect successor to James Bond. A trend that more and more followers have joined, turning the news into an almost official request.

The ‘tide’ started after the publication of a tweet by Regé-Jean in which he introduced his character from ‘The Bridgertons’ with the following text: “Regency. Royalty. Shaken and stirred ”. There were many who considered these attributes similar to those that the successor of 007 would have to have, which Daniel Craig will play for the last time in ‘No time to die’.

But Page is not the only name that has sounded in recent months to succeed the iconic character of the saga. Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba have also sounded strong. Are those responsible for the franchise considering?

So far everything we know at the moment about the Regé-Jean Page. We will update this article as new details become known so if you want to stay up to date on entertainment news, stay tuned and keep reading ” marketcapitalize.com “
