The series landed on Netflix less than a month ago, but it has already become one of their most talked about and enjoyed stories of the season. The first season, now available on Netflix, focuses on Daphne and her relationship with the Duke of Hastings, Simon Basset ( Regé-Jean Page ), with whom she hatches a plan to deceive London’s elite society, including Queen Charlotte. ( Golda Rosheuvel ) and a mysterious gazetteer who calls herself Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews ) and who is airing the dirty laundry of the best families in town.
