Are you still obsessed with ‘ The Bridgertons ‘? This looks that you are not the only one. The series landed on Netflix less than a month ago, but it has already become one of their most talked about and enjoyed stories of the season. Based on the novels by Julia Quinn and created for the screen by Chris Van Dusen through Shondaland (the producer of Shonda Rhimes ), it is a mix between Regency romances a la Jane Austen and a contemporary essence with a lot of sex, betrayal and gossip.

‘The Bridgertons’ tells the story of a wealthy London family of a widowed mother and seven sons and daughters: Anthony ( Jonathan Bailey ), who feels a duty to fill the role of his late father, Benedict ( Luke Thompson ), who finds his passion in the art world, Colin ( Luke Newton ), who wants to travel the world and fall in love, Daphne ( Phoebe Dynevor ), on whom falls the responsibility of marrying well and soon, Eloise ( Claudia Jessie ), who rejects the female role of the time while dreaming of being a writer, and the little ones of the house, Francesca ( Ruby Stokes ), Gregory ( Will Tilston ) and Hyacinth ( Florence Hunt ).

The first season, now available on Netflix, focuses on Daphne and her relationship with the Duke of Hastings, Simon Basset ( Regé-Jean Page ), with whom she hatches a plan to deceive London’s elite society, including Queen Charlotte. ( Golda Rosheuvel ) and a mysterious gazetteer who calls herself Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews ) and who is airing the dirty laundry of the best families in town.

In ‘The Bridgertons’ there is something that cannot be missing in any period story: the dances! They are the social event where great things happen, with lots of music and perfectly executed choreography. And for that it takes practice. In some videos published on Youtube, we can see how they trained hard to nail all the steps.
