The price of Ethereum falls after co-founder Anthony Di Iorio abandons cryptocurrency.

Anthony Di Iorio, co-founder, announced his retirement from the world of cryptocurrency, citing his concerns about personal safety.Di Iorio, 48 years old, has been accompanying or meeting a security team since 2017. In the next couple of weeks, he will sell Decentral Inc. to focus on non-cryptography and philanthropy.

The Canadian expects him to break links with other startups with which he participates over time and plans to fund no further blockchain projects.

“I’m not particularly fond of it being a risk profile,” Di Iorio declined to reveal his own cryptocurrency assets or net worth. “I don’t need to feel safe in this space.”

I believe I would be safer if I focused on bigger issues.”Di Iorio co-founded Ethereum in 2013, which has since been home to many of the highest crypto projects, particularly in the field of decentralised financing, which allows people to buy, lend, and trade without the use of intermediaries such as banks. Ether, the network’s native token, is worth approximately $225 billion.

When he purchased one of Canada’s largest and most expensive condos in 2018, he made headlines and paid for it in part with digital currency. Di Iorio paid for St. Regis Residences, a three-story penthouse at the former Trump International Hotel & Tower in Toronto’s downtown business district (22 million dollars).

Di Lorio invested in advise venture capital firm

Di Iorio has recently chosen to invest in and advise venture capital firms. It was also the Toronto Stock Exchange’s digital chief officer for a time. Forbes estimated its net worth to be up to $1 billion in February 2018. Since then, ether prices have more than doubled.

Di Iorio has stated that he spoke with a few potential investors and believes the launch is worth “hundreds of millions.” It intends to sell the company for cash or equity in another company, not cryptocurrency.“As a crypto guy, I want to be different from a man who solves complex problems,” Di Iorio explained. He is a member of Project Arrow, which is led by an academic friend and aims to build a zero-emission vehicle. He also spoke with a Senator from Paraguay.“I will incorporate crypto when necessary, but not always,” he said. “This is a very small portion of the world’s demands.”
