The presentation of Phase 4 of the UCM (Marvel Cinematic Universe) at the San Diego Comic-Con 2019 continues to give something to talk about, especially since the pandemic stop forced to freeze the agendas and the stories stopped being told. Submerged in this strange dream, we review again and again what lies ahead, and the truth is that the one that is coming our way is not bad at all.
One of the most interesting projects on the Marvel table at the moment, at least for those of us who enjoy each of the colorful moments of the fantastic ‘ Thor: Ragnarok ‘ (Taika Waititi, 2017), was the confirmation of ‘ Thor: Love and Thunder ‘, sequel of which we already know several hopeful details. With Taika Waititi back at the helm, the film will once again feature Chris Hemsworth as God of Thunder, Tessa Thompson as Asgarth’s new regent (and in search of a queen with whom to share a throne and bedroom) and Natalie Portman, who does not she only returns to the franchise but will do so as a new carrier of the Mjolnir and, therefore, as Almighty Thor.
We also know that Christian Bale will be the villain of the title by embodying the ruthless Gorr, the butcher of the gods, a guy disappointed with the divinities willing to ravage Asgard, but this is not the only addition of weight, at least according to a recent arrival to the Australian film set.
This complex movement in the middle of the disaster makes us think that his role will be much more than a simple cameo, as it happened with his presence in ‘ Thor: Ragnarok ‘, in which he played an actor in charge of playing Loki in a pantomime about his supposed heroics.
On the other hand, the actor’s family and Hemsworth’s are intimate, so this could all be simply a complex vacation and his presence in the film will once again be a testimonial. To find out, we will have to wait to see what ‘ Thor: Love and Thunder ‘ has in store for us, with a release date currently scheduled for February 18, 2022.
