Captain America is someone who has always been surrounded by controversies, be it in the movies or in the real world among his fans. Even though he is a Captain America is a good man as it is shown many times in the movie but then the character itself has never really been satisfying.
The thing is being debated quite thoroughly after Captain America picked up Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer, in Avengers: Endgame.
The writers of the story of the movie and the directors both had different opinions on whether or not Captain America was worthy of lifting the hammer.
The writers believed that he was not worthy and the directors believed he was worthy as early as Avengers: Age of Ultron. The fans are also divided on the matter.
Some say Captain America is worthy no matter what while some say Captain America is a flawed hero and thus not worthy.
There is also a third opinion that says Steve Rogers, who is Captain America in the movies, is worthy of the hammer because as a human being he is better.
THE ORIGIN OF THE DEBATE
The debate started because in the movie Avengers : Endgame it is shown that Captain America picks up the Thor’s hammer and takes on Thamos all by himself.
The scene in the movie looks spectacular but some fans thought it was not appropriate and someone more worthy like Ironman should have done this.
This debate looks like will continue for long time and may even affect the future revenue of the upcoming Marvel movies.
