Before the premiere of Wonder Woman 1984 in theaters tomorrow in Spain, Warner Bros. has shared the first minutes of the film and it is impressive
Today there was a virtual premiere of the film on dcfandome.com, where some influencers The Kandor bottle representing Spain, have been able to chat online with the director and the film’s protagonists. But the event has also featured the opening scene from Wonder Woman 1984, and it’s one of many incredibly well-executed scenes in the DC Comics sequel.
The sequence shows young Diana (Lilly Aspell) in Temyscira as she prepares to compete against a group of Amazons in a very physically demanding race, with her mother Hippolyta ( Connie Nielsen ) and her mentor Antiope (Robin Wright) watching. How will Diana fare in front of her more experienced sisters?
The scene is cut to show Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) running down the street in the present before the competition can actually begin, but you can see how it ends when it opens in theaters tomorrow.
In Wonder Woman 1984, the fate of the world is at stake again and only Wonder Woman can save it. In this new chapter of the Wonder Woman story, we see Diana Prince living quietly among mortals in the vibrant and stylish 1980s, an era of excess obsessed with having it all. Although she has regained all her powers, she maintains a low profile busy preserving and classifying ancient artifacts. He only performs superheroic acts incognito. But now, Diana will have to return to the forefront and summon all her wisdom, strength, and courage to save humanity from a world she has created herself.
Wonder Woman returns in an epic action game that takes audiences on an adventure through the not-so-distant past and our hero on a journey that spans the entire world.
The film also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig as Cheetah, Pedro Pascal as Max Lord, Robin Wright as Antiope, and Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta.
Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot, and Stephen Jones are producing the film. Rebecca Steel Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Marianne Jenkins, Geoff Johns, Walter Hamada, Chantal Nong Vo, and Wesley Coller serving as executive producers.
Jenkins directs the film from a script he wrote with Geoff Johns and Dave Callaham, with a Jenkins & Johns storyline and based on DC characters.
