Director Patty Jenkins has revealed that Wonder Woman 1984 has a post-credits scene that critics couldn’t see.

We were recently able to read the first reactions to the Wonder Woman 1984 film, as there are some privileged people who were able to see it, but it seems that they were denied the possibility of enjoying the post-credits scene that will arrive in the theatrical version and HBO Max.

A post-credits scene is always a great draw for fans. Wonder Woman 1984 is part of the centralized DCEU timeline, which makes the film important to the future of the franchise. With the Justice League of Zack Snyder debuting in 2021, this new scene could provide information about upcoming projects like The Flash, Aquaman 2, or The Suicide Squad. But to know exactly what it is about, you will have to stay when the movie ends.

Post-credits scenes is a very common tactic in Marvel Studios films, but DC Comics / Warner Bros have also used it, such as in Justice League (2017), where we could see a race between Flash and Superman and Lex Luthor free with Deathstroke.

What will the movie be about?

The first installment of the great DC Comics heroine was set during the First World War, while now Wonder Woman 1984 will jump back to the 80s. Diane Prince (Gal Gadot) has long been a heroine and longing for her beloved Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), so when a magic item grants him a wish, he asks for him to return. But this only brings chaos and you must save the situation and make really difficult decisions.

Wonder Woman 1984 will star Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Gabriella Wilde, and Natasha Rothwell. Its release date will vary by country, as in some places it will arrive on December 18, 2020, and others will have to wait until December 25.
