Crypto Profit Calculator
Work out the profit, loss and return on a cryptocurrency trade — including fees — before or after you make it.
Results are estimates based only on the figures you enter, for information and education only. They are not investment advice or a forecast. Crypto and stock markets carry real risk, including the loss of capital.
Understanding crypto profit and ROI
Profit on a cryptocurrency trade is simpler than it looks, but two things trip people up: fees and the difference between dollar profit and percentage return. This calculator handles both. Your amount invested is the buy price times the quantity, plus the fee charged when you bought. Your exit value is the sell price times the quantity, minus the fee charged when you sold. The difference between the two is your profit or loss.
ROI (return on investment) expresses that profit as a percentage of what you actually put in. It is the honest way to compare trades of different sizes: a $500 profit means something very different on a $1,000 position than on a $50,000 one. Fees may look tiny per trade, but on frequent trading or thin positions they compound into a meaningful drag — which is exactly why they are built into this tool.
Remember that a profit only becomes real when a position is closed, and that crypto prices can reverse quickly. Use this calculator to plan trades and review them after the fact, not as a promise of any particular outcome.
