How to get the most from them
A calculator is only as good as the thinking behind the inputs. A simple routine keeps the output meaningful:
- Pick the right tool. Choose by the question you are asking — profit on a trade, the size of a position, or how a contribution compounds over time.
- Enter your own numbers. Use figures from your situation. Where a tool asks for an expected return, treat it as a hypothetical, and try a cautious value as well as an optimistic one.
- Read the result as a range, not a promise. The output is an illustration of the maths, not a forecast. Change one input and watch how much it moves.
- Cross-check against live data. Sanity-check assumptions against real figures on the markets page, a coin or a stock.
New to a term in one of the tools? The glossary defines it quickly, and our guides explain the bigger concepts such as dollar-cost averaging and position sizing & risk.
Run the numbers before you act on them
Reading a live quote tells you where an asset is right now. These tools help you reason about what a decision would actually mean — the profit on a trade after fees, the right size for a position given your risk budget, the reward you are chasing relative to the risk you are taking, or the way a regular contribution compounds over years. Thinking in concrete numbers, before money is on the line, is one of the simplest habits that separates disciplined investors from impulsive ones.
A few of our tools — the crypto converter and the market cap calculator — use live cryptocurrency prices from CoinPaprika. Where a calculator asks you to supply an expected return or inflation rate, that figure is a hypothetical you choose: we never invent a forecast or imply a guaranteed outcome. Every result is a calculation based on the inputs you provide, for information and education only. None of it is investment advice, and markets can move against any assumption you make.

Frequently asked questions
Are the calculators really free?
Yes — every tool is free, with no account or sign-up. They run entirely in your browser, so the numbers you type are not sent to us or stored. More on that in our privacy policy.
Do any of the tools use live market prices?
A couple do. The crypto converter and market cap calculator pull live prices from CoinPaprika; the rest work entirely from the figures you enter.
Where does an expected return or growth rate come from?
From you. When a calculator asks for a rate of return or inflation figure, that is a hypothetical you choose — we never invent a forecast or imply a guaranteed outcome. The result is simply the maths on your inputs.
Are the results investment advice?
No. Every output is an illustration based on the numbers you supply, for information and education only — never a recommendation to buy or sell. Please read our disclaimer.
