How this page works
This page brings the US equity market into the same place as our crypto data. Three building blocks make it up, and knowing what each one represents keeps the numbers honest:
Index proxies
Because you can\'t trade an index directly, we use liquid ETFs — SPY, QQQ, DIA, IWM — to stand in for the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Dow and Russell 2000.
Live quotes
Each card shows the latest price and the percentage move, sourced from Nasdaq and timestamped. Figures may be delayed relative to the exchange.
Ticker detail
Click any symbol for its full ticker page — day range, 52-week range and more — or browse the whole directory A–Z.
Equities and crypto behave differently — different trading hours, different ownership, different risks — but the same habits of mind apply to both. If you are weighing one against the other, our guide on how crypto and stocks differ is a good start, the P/E ratio explainer unpacks a key equity metric, and the glossary defines anything unfamiliar. Frequently asked questions
Why show ETFs such as SPY and QQQ instead of the indexes directly?
You cannot trade an index like the S&P 500 or Nasdaq 100 directly. Large, liquid ETFs track those benchmarks closely and have live, quotable prices, so they are a practical stand-in. Our methodology lists which proxy maps to which index.
How fresh is the stock data?
Equity figures come from Nasdaq and may be delayed relative to the exchange. The time the data was last refreshed is shown near the top of the page; full detail is in our methodology.
Is "stocks in focus" a list of recommendations?
No. It is simply a curated set of companies we cover closely so the page stays useful — never a suggestion to buy or sell. Nothing here is investment advice; please read our disclaimer.
Can I see the full detail for one company?
Yes. Every symbol links through to its own ticker page with the day's range, the 52-week range and more. The full directory is browsable A–Z.
Index proxies use widely-traded ETFs (SPY, QQQ, DIA, IWM) to approximate major US benchmarks. Stock market data is provided by Nasdaq and may be delayed. This page is for information only and is not investment advice. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.
